From Quiet Afternoons to Word of Woof

Word of Woof began simply: a few neighbours in Falkirk noticed how calm their dogs were after a stroll with me. One thing led to another, and before long, I was being asked to walk friends’ dogs, then friends-of-friends… and the name stuck. Someone said, “It’s like the dogs are spreading the word themselves.”

And maybe they are. Their tails do a lot of talking.

But what mattered most to me — from the very beginning — was that I did this properly.

I don’t walk ten dogs at once. I don’t drag them around the block with headphones in. I walk in small groups, take the time to learn each dog’s quirks, and treat them as if they were my own.

Fresh water comes with me on every walk. So do poo bags, clean-up wipes, and enough patience to handle the odd squirrel chase.
